Winter Village Music Camp is a fun and inspiring winter weekend of LISTENING, LEARNING & PLAYING in a friendly and inclusive setting.

LEARN
Winter Village Music Camp offers more than 100 workshops on fiddle, mandolin, guitar, banjo, bass, ukulele, singing and songwriting taught by our 30 plus person faculty. Workshops explore a variety of styles including Bluegrass, Old Time, Irish, New England, Cajun, Scandinavian, Swing, Folk, Americana and more. Singing and songwriting workshops are offered along with sessions on how to practice more effectively and enjoyably.

LISTEN
Winter Village’s faculty concerts are a highlight of the camp. Open to the public and always a great time! Join us in downtown Ithaca on Thursday night for the Camp’s Opening Concert. The popular Saturday Night All-Faculty Concert features all camp faculty in a series of short performances and spontaneous collaborations. On Sunday afternoon at 4:00 pm, we say goodbye to yet another year of Winter Village at the Closing Concert.

PLAY
For many, the most fun and important part of the camp is playing with others. So let’s have some fun and play together. There will be many opportunities for jamming in the styles you enjoy, and at a level and speed where you feel comfortable playing with others.

Come study 5-string banjo in gorgeous natural surroundings with some of today’s best players and teachers. Our program features hands-on classes, demonstrations, and two big faculty concerts, and still leaves lots of time for jamming with your fellow banjo enthusiasts. Suwannee Banjo Camp offers four levels of serious instruction in clawhammer, old-time fingerpicking, and bluegrass banjo styles. We also offer full-time programs in old-time fiddle, bluegrass guitar and – new this year – mandolin.

Join us April 23-26, 2026 at the Black Range Lodge in Kingston, New Mexico with Bill Evans, Alan Munde, Riley Baugus (old-time/clawhammer) and another teacher TBA. Our camp is designed for all levels of bluegrass and old-time banjo player past true beginners and workshop sessions include topics designed for intermediate to advanced players. Instruction at Blue Ridge Guitar Camp will focus on intermediate to advanced bluegrass guitarists, or those players of intermediate to advanced general experience who strive to learn about the bluegrass guitar style.
Our definition of bluegrass guitar includes a rhythm and lead focus. Players who’ve spent more time playing rhythm than lead should apply, players who’ve spent more time playing lead than rhythm should apply, folks that play and sing should apply.

MBC brings together some of the finest old-time and bluegrass banjo players and instructors from around the country – along with some of the very best fiddlers, guitarists, mandolin players, bass players, and singers – for 72 action-packed hours of classes, concerts, and jams. The 2026 CBA Summer Music Camp will be our 26th annual Camp at the Nevada County Fairgrounds in Grass Valley, California. JUNE 14 – 17, 2026 Registration opens Februrary 1, 2026

The California Bluegrass Association’s Summer Music Camp is for advanced-beginners and intermediate players who want to improve their instrumental or vocal skills and work on jamming with others.

Camp starts on Sunday with check-in, casual jams, and introductory classes and continues into the evening with a camp tour, dinner, instructor introductions, a first-night square dance… and more jamming!

Monday through Wednesday consist of intensive class sessions and elective classes and workshops on a wide range of topics. Evening activities include instructor and student concerts, Old-time dances, and… more jamming!

The camp concludes on Wednesday evening with a post-camp/pre- Father’s Day Festival concert.

Camp Bluegrass, now in our 39th year, is a one-week residential educational picking camp for bluegrass musicians. It is held each July at South Plains College in Levelland, Texas located 30 miles west of Lubbock. Our speciality is quality teaching and small classes in state of the art facilities.
